Eligibility
Who can apply?

Graduating high school seniors and current postsecondary students.
- ✓
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
- ✓
Planning to attend an accredited college, university, community college, trade school or technical program.
- ✓
The student must be a Pioneer AFCU member in good standing by the application deadline.

Questions before you apply?
Do I have to be a Pioneer member before applications open?
No. The student applying must become a Pioneer AFCU member and remain in good standing by the application deadline.
Can trade or technical students apply?
Yes. Accredited trade schools and technical programs are eligible alongside colleges, universities and community colleges.
Do I need an official transcript?
An unofficial transcript may be submitted with the initial application. Pioneer may request official verification from selected recipients.
Does choosing video improve my chances?
No. Written and video responses are evaluated using the same criteria. Production quality is not part of the score.
Can current college students apply?
Yes. Graduating high school seniors and current postsecondary students may apply if they meet the other eligibility requirements.
