Standard Transfer Fees Covered for Pioneer Members
Pioneer AFCU is covering all standard fees for coin and cash transfers for our members through the end of 2026. That means the standard 5% fee for coin transfers and the $5.95 fee for cash transfers are both on us. Every dollar you transfer goes straight into your account.
Promotional fee waiver applies to Pioneer AFCU members using a Pioneer debit card at participating Coinstar® kiosks. Offer valid through December 31, 2026. Subject to change or discontinuation.

Everything You Need to Know
As part of our commitment to accessible banking, Pioneer AFCU is covering all standard fees for coin and cash transfers for members through December 31, 2026. The standard fees (5% for coins, $5.95 fee for bills) are normally charged by Coinstar® — not Pioneer. During the promotion, we absorb those costs so every dollar you transfer goes into your account.
The standard Coinstar® fees are 5% of the total amount for coin transfers and a flat $5.95 fee for transferring bills directly into your checking account. These are charged by Coinstar® for the coin-counting service and machine maintenance. After December 31, 2026, standard fees will apply.
Coinstar® transfers go into the checking account linked to the debit card you use at the kiosk. You can then transfer funds to savings or other accounts through online banking or the Pioneer mobile app.
Yes. When you transfer using your Pioneer debit card, funds are credited to your checking account immediately and are available for use right away.
Yes. You can transfer up to $1,000 per transaction at a Coinstar® kiosk. These limits are set by Coinstar® for security and operational reasons.
Coinstar® kiosks accept most standard U.S. coins. They do not accept foreign coins, damaged coins, or non-coin items. The machine will automatically reject anything it cannot count.
Coinstar® kiosks are highly accurate, but if you believe there was a counting error, contact Coinstar® customer service directly — they will investigate and work with you to resolve the issue. Keep your receipt from the transaction as proof.
If a kiosk is out of service, use the Coinstar® kiosk finder to locate an alternate location nearby. You can also bring coins to any Pioneer AFCU branch during business hours.
Yes. Every Coinstar® transaction produces a receipt. Keep it until you have confirmed the transfer amount appears correctly in your Pioneer account.
