FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Credit Score and More?
Credit Score and More helps you stay on top of your credit by giving you instant access to your latest credit score and full credit report, along with the key factors that impact your score. It also monitors your credit daily and sends you an email alert anytime something significant changes — such as a new account opening, an address change, delinquency, or new inquiry
Does Credit Score and More offer credit monitoring?
Yes. Credit Score and More will monitor your credit and notify you by email whenever there is a change to your credit profile.
Is there a fee to use Credit Score and More?
No. Credit Score and More is completely free to all Pioneer AFCU members.
Will using Credit Score and More “ding” my credit?
No. Accessing your credit through Credit Score and More is a soft inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. Only “hard inquiries,” typically made by lenders during a loan application, can impact your score.
How often is my credit score updated?
Your credit score updates every seven days and is displayed inside online and mobile banking. You can also click “Refresh Score” anytime for the most up-to-date information.
What if the information in Credit Score and More looks wrong or inaccurate?
Credit Score and More pulls your information directly from TransUnion. If you believe something is incorrect, you can request a free credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com and dispute inaccuracies with each bureau individually.
Within Credit Score and More, Pioneer AFCU members can also select “Dispute” to file a dispute directly with TransUnion. If the information is verified as inaccurate, TransUnion will share the correction with the other credit bureaus.
Why do credit scores differ between services?
There are three major credit bureaus — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — and multiple scoring models such as FICO and VantageScore. Lenders may use different bureaus or different scoring versions. Each scoring model weighs factors differently, and over 200 data points may influence a credit score. Because of this, no two credit scores are exactly the same.
Does Pioneer AFCU use Credit Score and More to make loan decisions?
No. Pioneer AFCU uses our own lending criteria when reviewing a loan application. Your Credit Score and More score is for your personal reference and financial wellness.
